Erin Hunter
Project Specialist / Designer
Erin brings a strong architectural foundation and a creative, detail-driven approach to her role as Project Specialist / Designer at Progressive Design Build. She earned her Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Arkansas in 2016 before spending several years working in set design and scenic painting for theater productions across the country. After moving to Naples in 2021, Erin began her interior design career, gaining experience in furnishings, art direction, construction, high-end remodeling, and design-build.
At Progressive Design Build, Erin specializes in the interior architecture of remodeling projects, helping clients rethink how their homes look, function, and feel. She begins by documenting existing conditions and developing design concepts around each client’s needs and priorities. From there, she guides material and finish selections, develops detailed construction and permit drawings, and collaborates with the PDB team to coordinate structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and other project requirements. Erin remains involved throughout construction, providing design support, answering questions, solving unexpected challenges, and helping ensure the finished space reflects what the client envisioned.
Her architectural training strongly influences the way she approaches interior design. Known for her detailed drafting and spatial thinking, Erin considers how individual design decisions work together as part of the larger home. She particularly enjoys collaborating with the team to solve challenging design problems and finding unexpected solutions, products, or materials that give clients possibilities they may not have considered.
Erin is an Allied member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), which includes ongoing continuing education and professional development. She is also working toward earning her NCIDQ certification, further expanding her knowledge of designing interior environments with function, health, and safety in mind.
Outside of work, Erin spends plenty of time with Bowen, her energetic Jack Russell Terrier mix. She also enjoys reading, painting, traveling, trying new restaurants, spending time with friends and family, and taking advantage of Florida’s sunshine, whether she’s at the beach or exploring a hiking trail.
