A Modern Primary Bathroom, Guest Bath, and Pool Bathroom Remodel in Bonita Springs, FL

As part of an extensive whole house remodel in Bonita Springs, these homeowners renovated all three bathrooms.

Challenge

Built in 1988, it was time to completely renovate the bathrooms to incorporate their new modern design style.

Solution

Primary Bathroom

After removing the dated Corian counters, worn cabinets, and step-up garden tub, Progressive Design Build began building a calming, yet contemporary space. The room was configured with “his and hers” furniture vanities and wall counter storage cabinets from Dura Supreme. The cabinets were painted in a subtle Cashew color and complemented by Praa Sands Cambria Quartz countertops.

A large drop-in soaker tub was designed into the large bathroom space, alongside a large walk-in shower. The original marble floor was replaced with Chalk 12×24 porcelain tile planks that seamlessly blended into the Toemi Pebble Tec Tan shower floor. Matching both the countertops and flooring, Listello accent tiles were designed into the shower and expertly tied the whole space together.

Completing the look were sleek stainless steel Delta plumbing fixtures and toilet accessories that matched the satin nickel finishes of the cabinet pulls and sconce lighting.

Guest Bathroom

The old tub was removed and replaced with a large, functional walk-in shower. The shower floor was laid in an ocean-inspired Akua pebble tile and the walls were tiled with Neostile Chalk porcelain and include a Natural Saint Tropez Collection Dusk center border from MiR.

Custom white DuraSupreme cabinets with a Homestead door style were topped with Ironsbridge Cambria Quartz and accented with brushed nickel Signature Hardware plumbing selections and accessories.

Soft gray walls (Sherwin Williams “Sea Salt”) and Chale Miele plank tile complete the look for this guest bathroom.

Pool Bath Turned Into a Steam Bath

With more homeowners turning their bathrooms into relaxing areas of the home that soothe and comfort, our client was no exception. They had visions of turning their pool bathroom into a luxurious steam room.

The location of the guest bedroom closet on the other side of the bathroom made it easy to create an accessible location for the required ThermaSol steam generator.

The custom ceiling-height steam shower was designed with a moving transom glass door, and shower walls laid in Neostile Chalk tile. Creating a stunning focal point, a perfect square of Elysium tile in Pontus blue was added to the wall design, complemented by an Akau Riverstone Cappuccino pebble mosaic tile shower floor. New Signature Hardware plumbing selections and accessories were chosen to match the brushed satin nickel hardware.

A white custom DuraSupreme floating vanity (with Homestead door style) was topped with polished Kelvingrove Cambria Quartz countertops—in warm and nurturing Earth tones of taupe, white, and Robin’s egg blue-green. For perfect task lighting, a lighted mirror was installed over the vanity.

Finally, the same Chalet Miele wood plank porcelain tile that flows effortlessly throughout the rest of the home is used in this bathroom to create a seamless look for this calm and soothing space.
