Progressive Builders Participates in Relay For Life of Fort Myers to Help Fund the American Cancer Society

Grass Roots, Community-Based Team Event to be Held on April 29^th, 2017

Fort Myers, Florida, April 11, 2017 – Progressive Builders, an award-winning design/build remodeling firm in Southwest Florida, is participating in The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Fort Myers, to be held on April 29^th from 10AM to 10PM at Lakes Park, 7330 Gladiolus Dr., Fort Myers, FL. The community is invited to attend—with cancer survivors, caregivers, volunteers and community members gathering to remember loved ones lost, celebrate survivors, and encourage those who are still fighting this dreadful disease.

Progressive Builders joins in the world’s largest, most impactful fundraising event to end cancer, which started in May of 1985 by Dr. Gordy Klatt who took the first step of the 24-hour marathon around a Tacoma, Washington track raising $27,000 for the American Cancer Society.

Progressive Builders will join the Southwest Florida community in taking turns by walking or running around a track—one of its team members will be on the track at all times and all team members are participating in fundraising during the weeks leading up to the event. Progressive Builders will also be setting up a booth at the event, selling miscellaneous items—all proceeds of which will be donated to the American Cancer Society.

After dark, a Luminary Ceremony is held where candles are lit in remembrance of those who have lost their battle with cancer—honoring survivors. Among the love, support and care that is felt by all participants, this fabulous day is chock-full of entertainment, games, music, great food, camaraderie and fun.

Progressive Design Build helped us design and build a new family room/kitchen in the summer of 2013. We selected them after extensive bids based on the quality of their vision for the project and sterling recommendations from friends and neighbors. All work was done while we were away for the summer. We could not be more pleased with the results. Not only did Progressive owner Mike Spreckelmeier do a first-rate job managing the flow and costs of the project (which was exactly on-budget), but also the finished product had the shortest punch list of any of the five major renovations we have done on various properties with other builders during the past two decades. And, our home was cleaner when we returned than when we left before construction. We unconditionally recommend Progressive Design Build.
